A trial lesson is an optional taster session for new students, a chance to meet, discuss goals, and get a feel for your teaching. There’s no obligation to offer one, but you can, at a reduced rate if you like.
What happens in a trial
You can prepare a full lesson or use it to discuss the student’s goals and plan future lessons. Agree with the student beforehand what to expect.
Pricing a trial
The cost is up to you. Some tutors set a fixed rate, others offer a percentage discount on their usual rate. There’s no requirement to discount. The minimum chargeable amount for a trial is £5.00 as a student-facing price.
How to book a trial
- Go to your Lessons tab at the top of your dashboard.
- Click Book a trial.
- Complete the booking form.
