Time Slots for new students are the weekly times you commit to teach, not for ad hoc one-offs. This answers the common questions.
Can I add one-off Time Slots?
No. One-off slots have been removed so new students see reliable weekly slots. You can still book or edit a lesson at a different time if it suits you both, and use Time off for exceptions. This was previously web-only, so web and app now behave the same.
Can I book lessons outside my Time Slots?
Yes. You can arrange a lesson at another time if it suits you and the student. Your Time Slots only control what new students see when they first enquire. Keep off-slot lessons the exception. If you often teach outside your slots, update them so families see the right times. Repeated mismatches that cause missed or declined lessons may lead us to follow up.
How do fortnightly or irregular lessons work?
You can still book them. If they fall within a Time Slot, that slot is taken for new-student bookings at that time. If this becomes your regular pattern, update your Time Slots to reflect it.
What if I’m on holiday?
Use the Time off feature to block holidays or periods you’re not working. It blocks those dates so families can’t book them, and your weekly pattern stays the same.
What if my Time off clashes with a recurring lesson?
When you create a weekly series, we skip any week that overlaps with Time off, so there’s nothing to cancel. The rest books as normal. If you add Time off after a lesson is booked, reschedule that single occurrence.
What if something comes up last minute?
Add Time off for the slot you can’t make, so students know you’re unavailable.
