For Tutors - Why am I being asked for a code when I sign in?

Modified on Wed, 21 Oct at 7:43 AM

We’ve added an extra check when tutors sign in with a password on the Tutorful website. It helps protect your account and the conversations you have with students if someone else gets hold of your password.

How do I sign in?

  1. Enter your email address and password as usual.
  2. Check the inbox for the email address on your Tutorful account. We’ll send you a six-digit code.
  3. Enter the code on the sign-in page to reach your dashboard.

You don’t need to set anything up.

I haven’t received my code. What should I do?

Check your spam or junk folder, and make sure you’re looking at the inbox for the email address on your Tutorful account.

If the email still hasn’t arrived, select Send another code on the sign-in page. You may need to wait a minute before you can request another.

My code isn’t working. What should I do?

Codes expire after 10 minutes. Request a new code on the sign-in page, then enter the most recent code we’ve emailed you.

If you enter an incorrect code five times, you’ll need to request a new one.

I’ve lost access to the email address on my account. What should I do?

Contact us at support@tutorful.co.uk and tell us you can’t access the email address on your Tutorful account. Our team will help you with the next steps to regain access. For your security, they may need to confirm that the account belongs to you.

I received a code but didn’t try to sign in. What should I do?

Don’t share the code with anyone. If you’re concerned about your account, reset your password and contact us at support@tutorful.co.uk.
