How much should I charge for siblings/multiple students?

Modified on Mon, 27 Jul at 4:46 PM

If a parent wants you to teach more than one child in the same lesson, first judge whether it’s appropriate. If the students are far apart in ability or age, back-to-back individual lessons may work better.

Our suggested approach

If teaching them together works, we suggest charging your standard hourly rate plus £5 to £10 per extra student to cover the extra preparation. This gives the family a discount for the second child while still paying you for the additional prep.

Always agree the amount with the student via messages before booking the lesson.
