Introduce yourself
A brief sentence or two introducing yourself to prospective students.
Your teaching or tutoring experience
- How long you’ve spent teaching or tutoring.
- Any experience, formal or informal, online or in-person.
- Specific examples, for example teaching in France as part of a languages degree, or the schools you were placed in during a teaching degree.
How your lessons are structured
Give students a clear idea of what to expect:
- Do you adapt your style to the student’s age or ability?
- Do you follow a strict lesson plan, or teach flexibly?
- Are sessions exam-practice focused?
- Will you set homework?
- What do you expect from the student in return?
Any additional information
- Exam board knowledge or examiner experience (for example AQA or Edexcel), which many GCSE and A Level students look for.
- Experience with SEN students, with specific examples.
What not to include
- External or social media links.
- Contact details such as email or phone number.
- Reviews or testimonials.
- References to in-person tutoring.
