If you want to share your screen in the Online Classroom, that's no problem at all - just click the Share Screen button on the right hand side of the classroom!
You'll then be asked which screen or tab you would like to share.
You can choose to share either your entire screen (this is really useful if you do have a dual monitor set up), an application you have open and unminimised on your device, or a Chrome tab that you've got open!
If you'd like to share the audio playing on a Chrome tab, for example if you'd like to share a Youtube video, you'll just tick to share audio at the bottom of the screen share pop, as is shown below.
Presenting PowerPoints & Documents
Want to walk your student through a PowerPoint? Simply open your presentation, then screen share the window it’s in. You can also upload the slides as a PDF directly into a tab if you’d prefer full in-platform control.
Sharing a Video
Teaching with video? We recommend sharing it through a browser tab with audio enabled. For best results, keep the video short and check audio settings to ensure your student hears it clearly.
Presenter Mode
When screen sharing, you can double-click your video feed or a student’s to activate Presenter Mode. This brings the selected video to the forefront for everyone—super useful when leading a discussion or showing something step-by-step.
Annotating While Screen Sharing
You can even draw attention to key areas while screen sharing using annotation tools. Just hover near the top of your screen during a share and select “Annotate” to start marking up content in real time.
You can also find a video here for more information about how to share your screen!
