What is the service fee?

Modified on Thu, 23 Jul at 4:34 PM

Tutors don’t pay a fee to use Tutorful. We make money by charging students a small service fee on every lesson booked through us. You set your own price, and we add a small percentage on top, which the student pays. Together these make up the total lesson price shown on the site.

What you get when you teach with us

  • Access to our student population: a ready-made client base to tap into.
  • Hassle-free payments: we manage and take the stress out of payment.
  • Guaranteed payments: even if your student doesn’t pay, we make sure you still get paid.
  • Cancellation payments: at the click of a button, we make sure you’re paid when lessons are cancelled, with no awkward conversation.
  • Marketing investment: we spend millions bringing new students to the platform.
  • An award-winning platform: an online classroom and tools that recreate a classroom experience at home.
  • Recorded lessons: students can rewatch for revision, and parents can review the content.
  • Instant Booking: secure lessons with students instantly, at a time that suits you both.

What the service fee funds

  • Continuous marketing to attract new students.
  • Secure, reliable payment processing.
  • Platform development, including the online classroom and tools.
  • Customer support for both students and tutors.
  • Technology infrastructure for a secure, seamless experience.

By reinvesting here, Tutorful keeps growing as a trusted platform for students and tutors.
