How do I add references?

You need at least two references to submit your tutor profile for review. These can be from past managers, colleagues, or students. We can’t accept references from family members.

For each referee, add their name, email address, and relationship to you, and we’ll automatically send them a reference form.

Adding references during sign-up (app)

References can only be added from the Tutorful app while signing up.

1. At the references section, select Add references.
2. Fill in the details of up to four references.
3. Save their information. They’ll each be emailed our reference form.

Once added, your profile is submitted for review and we’ll email you an update.

Adding references if you’re already live (web)

1. Log into your account and go to the profile section.
2. Click Account details, then select References on the left.
3. Add the name, email address, and relationship for each referee.

A tip

You only need two, but you can add more. Adding three or four often means your references come back quicker.
