We know your time is valuable, and that repeatedly messaging potential students without securing a booking can be frustrating. That's why Instant Book is now enabled for all tutors by default, making it quicker and easier for students to book lessons and helping you spend less time arranging sessions and more time teaching.
Since introducing New Student Slots, tutors are asked to keep their availability up to date by reviewing and updating it at least every three weeks. This means students are only able to book times you've made available, so there's no longer a need for tutors to manually confirm each booking before it's secured.
Below are answers to some common questions about Instant Book.
Why is this good for me?
Our research shows that when a lesson is confirmed within 24 hours of a student's request, it's 50% more likely to result in a completed lesson.
With Instant Book, students can secure available lesson times immediately, reducing delays and increasing the likelihood that enquiries turn into completed lessons. Because your calendar is kept up to date, students can book with confidence, and you can spend less time coordinating availability.
Can I change my pricing?
At the moment, pricing for Instant Book lessons is based on your advertised hourly rate. If a lesson is shorter or longer than one hour, the student will be charged the corresponding proportion or multiple of your hourly rate.
What if my availability changes?
It's important to keep your calendar up to date. As part of the Student Slots experience, tutors are prompted to review and update their availability at least every three weeks to ensure students only see bookable times.
If your availability changes, simply update your calendar as soon as possible to avoid students booking times you can no longer accommodate.
Can I opt out of Instant Book?
Instant Book is now a standard feature for all tutors and is enabled by default.
