Are online lessons recorded?
Yes - all online lessons on Tutorful are recorded. This is a standard part of teaching on the platform and is outlined in our terms and conditions. Recordings can't be switched off. They serve two important purposes: they're a great revision tool for students to look back on, and they play a key role in keeping everyone safe in the online classroom.
Who can access lesson recordings?
Recordings are accessible to the student of the lesson via their logged-in Tutorful account. Where applicable, a student's parent or guardian can also access them. Tutors are not able to access recordings - as many of our students are under 18, this is an important safeguarding measure.
Can recordings be downloaded or shared?
No. Recordings can only be viewed within the Tutorful website and cannot be downloaded. This ensures they remain secure and can't be shared outside of Tutorful.
Does Tutorful watch lesson recordings?
Tutorful will only review a recording if there is a specific reason to do so - for example, if a quality or safeguarding concern has been raised. We would never use any recordings without consent.
