We’ve made getting set up to teach through our online classroom as simple as possible for both you as a tutor, and your students!

All you’ll need in order to use our online classroom is a laptop or computer, and this can be either a PC, Chromebook, or Mac. In terms of software, you don’t need to go out and download anything in particular - we’d just recommend using Google Chrome as your browser when accessing our online classroom, as it is the browser that is the most compatible with the classroom!

To get set up, you can run our browser test to check you’re all set up correctly. To run this, just log into your account on the website, and click on your name in the top right corner. You can then select the ‘Demo Online Classroom’ option, which will bring you to a pop-up. If you click ‘test my browser’, you’ll automatically be taken to the browser test!

This will check your internet speed, camera, microphone and speakers - if you’re running the browser test for the first time, you’ll just need to click ‘allow’ in the pop up that appears, to grant the browser permission to use your camera and microphone.

You can also have a look at our classroom by going into the demo! To do this, just click on the same ‘demo online classroom’ option that appears when you click on your name - you can then click the ‘launch demo’ button in the pop up to go through!

In the demo, your camera and microphone won’t be turned on, however, it’ll allow you to use the different features of the classroom without a student on the other side, so you can get more confident with the software!
