To make sure everyone is kept safe using our platform, we have our own private messaging system in place that tutors and students can use to communicate and discuss lesson needs before agreeing to meet for a trial or initial session.


It's really important for us to be able to make sure every student who comes to the site is able to find a tutor they are happy with. We can't do this if the conversation moves offline, so we do ask that tutors keep the conversation on site, at least up until your first lesson together.


Our messaging system offers push notifications if you’re using the app, or email notifications if not, to keep you informed in real-time. Keeping communication on-site allows our team to step in and provide support if there’s ever an issue.


We understand that in some cases, the need to share contact details may arise, such as when you can’t attend the lesson. We no longer automatically share contact details. However, instead, once the first paid lesson has taken place, tutors and students can manually exchange this information through the message thread if they feel it’s necessary.
