One of the best things about being a private tutor is the flexibility you have to tutor as much or as little as you want to, whenever you want to! Some of our tutors will teach just one hour a week, whilst others will work their way up to being able to treat it as a full-time position! We have tutors with us who started out tutoring a couple of nights a week and are now able to tutor as their full-time profession, so that's definitely possible!
Our dashboard and tutor tools are designed to provide equally for both those who want to tutor just once or twice a week to earn some extra income and those who are looking to really build up their tuition business. You can let students know when you are available using your availability calendar, and can see more information here.
Usually what you'll find is that once you've taught your first few lessons with a student you'll move higher up our search results and start to receive more enquiries - a bit of a snowball effect! This will increase even more over time as students continue to book with you. Don't worry if you're ever away, full or otherwise unable to take on students at any time - you can simply go "offline" until you are available again.
