Sometimes parents may look for a tutor who can help more than one child together in the same lesson. If the students are very far apart in ability or age then this may not be appropriate, and it may be better to suggest back to back lessons with each child individually.
If it is appropriate to tutor both students together, then our suggestion is to charge your standard hourly rate +£5-10 on top per extra student to cover the additional preparation time. This way, students get the benefit of a discounted rate for the second child and tutors are paid for additional time spent preparing and still only have to travel once for the lesson.
As ever, the amount charged should always be agreed with the student via the messages before booking in the lesson.
