As a tutor, you may find that there are times when you cannot accept messages from students, or simply cannot take on any more students. In this case, we have an offline feature to help you.

Going offline simply means that no new students will be able to contact you as you won’t be visible on the search results. You will still be able to interact with your current students, book in lessons with them and accept payment while offline.

It's really important to make sure your profile is always reflective of your availability to take on students and answer messages. We always ask that our tutors go offline if they are going on holiday and can't respond to messages quickly for a short period, if they are taking a break from tutoring or if they are just full and can't take on any further students! You can go back online at any time, and you can change between 'Live' and 'Offline' on your dashboard:

Going 'Offline':

Log in to your account and head to your dashboard.

From there, you'll be able to see a button on the right-hand side that will allow you to set your profile 'offline'.

Going 'Live':

Log in to your account and head to your dashboard.

Click the green button that can be found on the right-hand side of your dashboard.

You can also toggle between being Live and Offline from your mobile app from your dashboard.

Why has my profile been turned offline automatically?

We expect all tutors to respond to new student enquires promptly. Our Tutor Quality Team closely monitor our tutor's performance to ensure that they meet the highest standards.

If we notice that you haven't been responding to new student enquiries, we will automatically set your profile to 'offline'. We'll email you if this happens, so you'll always be informed.

This isn't a permanent restriction, and you can toggle your profile back to 'live' anytime you want! However, please only do so if you're certain you can respond promptly to student enquiries and have enough capacity to take on new students.
